MY FIRST POST!

I can’t remember when I became a party planning enthusiast but my passion definitely blossomed in college. Going to school in the middle of nowhere, we were really forced to make our own fun. Tired of the usual keggers, or more often 30 racks of PBR parties, by my senior year my friends and I started to get more creative in our weekend events. We started throwing parties such as the Impromptu Underwear Party, the Puzzle Challenge and the Camp Party, all giving their own twist on getting drunk and having a good time. After college, now facing the real world, throwing parties became an escape. I no longer had a house I could trash and not feel bad about, I had limited funds and friends scattered around the country. Parties brought us together, let us relive more “innocent” times and ultimately were SUPER FUN. I realized how much I love planning parties, how much joy it brought me to bring joy to others. Even now running my own bar (which many would argue, though a difficult one, is a pretty stellar job) nothing makes me as happy as throwing a party. I get a high from the planning, bringing my friends together,and coming up with new ways to have fun. I love do it yourself parties: cooking, writing weird invites, making silly crafts, and taking party photos. I’ve been able to create some awesome times from a pretty reasonable budget and in a decent time frame. SO After countless memorable events, I figured it was high time I started documenting! This blog will feature parties from the past and present, as well as ideas for party accoutrement’s, invites, decorations, recipes, etc… I hope others will read this and get inspired themselves. But even if my mom and my boyfriend are my only readers, I think it’s gonna be fun! I hope you enjoy!
